Immediate need for a talented Surgical Technologist (CST) Operating Room. This is a 03+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $40/hr - $45/hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule: Day shifts (6:45am 7:15pm) with call, weekends, and holidays 36 hours guaranteed per week (no block scheduling)
• Set up sterile surgical trays, instruments, and equipment for a variety of trauma and general surgery cases.
• Assist surgeons and RNs during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies under sterile technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain a sterile field throughout operations.
• Prepare patients for surgery including skin prep and draping.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Assist with room turnover, restocking supplies, and instrument sterilization.
• Respond to Level 1 trauma activations with speed and precision.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams in a high?stress, fast?paced environment.
• Participate in on?call rotation, weekends, and holidays as scheduled (no block scheduling).
• Consistent day shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week plus call, weekends, and holidays

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Key skills; Surgical Technologist, CST, Operating Room, Level 1 Trauma, BLS, Sterile Technique
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an operating room setting
• Level 1 Trauma experience (required)
• Previous travel assignment experience (required)
• High skill set rating with strong references
• Burn experience (preferred)
• Ability to work day shifts (6:45am 7:15pm) with call, weekends, and holidays
• No block scheduling must be flexible
• Both local and travel candidates considered local candidates eligible to apply
• Mastery of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Strong knowledge of trauma, general, and specialty surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and anticipation skills under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high?performing team
• Calm, focused, and efficient in emergency trauma situations
• Commitment to patient safety and infection control
