About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must be valid and in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required. TNCC preferred. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood product administration - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Continuous IV sedation - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Triage experience - Starting and maintaining IVs Description: We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse for our emergency room department. This position requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response. The nurse will be responsible for the interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy, including blood product administration, is essential. Procedural sedation administration and monitoring skills are required. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in neurological assessment and psychiatric care. Experience with isolation precautions and triage is necessary. The emergency room setting includes combined adult and pediatric patients. Candidates must be able to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidates will be required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
