Location: Reseda, California
Start Date: 06-08-2026
End Date: 06-06-2027
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, includes weekends as needed
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide acute psychiatric care to geriatric patients aged 60 and older in a 10-bed short-term unit
- Collaborate with a team of 2-3 RNs per shift to ensure safe, competent, and compassionate care
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and implement treatment plans
- Respond effectively to psychiatric crises and behavioral emergencies
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certifications required
- Psychiatric nursing background strongly preferred
- Completion of facility-specific skills checklist prior to first shift
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in geriatric psychiatry and acute care
- Ability to manage behavioral health crises with confidence
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
