Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Partnership Coordinator to join our team. The Real World Learning (RWL) Community Partnership Coordinator will be responsible for acquiring, retaining, growing, and coordinating business partner relationships that ultimately result in increased internship opportunities, guest speakers and instructors, visiting scholars, and vocationally certified teachers. The RWL Community Partnership Coordinator will work with business partners to identify specific skill sets and/or certifications needed by graduates in high-demand fields. In addition, the Coordinator will develop, manage, and evaluate the multiple Real World Learning opportunities the district offers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops, delivers, and evaluates training programs for client projects, mentors, internship/apprenticeship sponsors, subject-area experts, guest speakers and guest instructors for the purpose of conveying information required to accomplish assigned functions.
• Develops and executes a target list of new business partners for the purpose of gaining their participation in client projects, internships, guest speaking and/or guest instructing for all RWL strands.
• Develops and manages a process to qualify and place students with business partners for the purpose of determining appropriate internship/apprenticeship opportunities.
• Develops and manages a "quality control program" for the purpose of evaluation and feedback on and from internships, guest speakers and guest instructors.
• Develops and implements a recognition program for the purpose of formally recognizing business partners and community involvement for their support of the RWL program.
• Implements necessary changes to the RWL Internship, Guest Speaker/Instructor programs for the purpose of ensuring standards are achieved and performance is maximized.
• Manages the business partner/community member data system for the purpose of documenting activities, meeting compliance requirements, providing written references, and/or conveying information.
• Monitors changes and/or additions in the RWL curriculum offerings for the purpose of qualifying mentors and speakers to bring value-added to the students and to complement teachers.
• Identify teacher externship opportunities to further expose instructional staff to RWL needs and priorities.
• Participate in parent/teacher functions for the purpose of promoting the features and benefits of the RWL experiential curriculum offerings.
• Partners with all RWL teachers on the expansion needs for client-connected projects, internships, apprenticeships, speakers, entrepreneurial experiences and guest instructors based on specific class student growth for the purpose of building resources and expanding program capabilities.
• Recruits and retains qualified project clients, guest instructors, guest speakers, subject-area experts, apprenticeship and internship opportunities for all RWL strands for the purpose of ensuring appropriate coverage for identified program needs.
• Researches local, regional, and national RWL opportunities (including, but not limited to, new programming and pre-MVA work) for the purpose of continuing to expand student offerings.
• Performs as a member of the RWL advisory boards for the purpose of updating information on business partnership opportunities.
• Partners with other district administrators to solicit RWL gifting from business partners, foundations and corporations for the purpose of delivering revenue to sustain RWL programming.
• Manages the development and implementation of RWL Summer Internships Program with selected business partners for the purpose of providing RWL students paid internship opportunities.
• Partners with the Academic Services team to expand/enhance career learning opportunities for students Early Childhood-12th grade.

Experience

• Job-related experience is required.
• Familiarity with the educational setting and learning processes preferred.

Education

• Four-year degree in Education, Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Business or equivalent field preferred.
