Senior Orthopedic Sales Representative (Rochester, MN)

An opportunity for an experienced orthopedic sales professional

This role is designed for an accomplished sales professional who is ready to take ownership of a significant market opportunity . Rochester and the surrounding southern Minnesota corridor include a sophisticated mix of academic medicine, community hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers.

We are looking for someone who brings strong clinical credibility , commercial discipline , and the ability to build trusted relationships across a complex healthcare environment.

What you will own

·      Commercial responsibility for the Rochester territory , including quota achievement, forecasting, pricing strategy, and territory growth

·      Identification and development of new business opportunities

·      Expansion of portfolio adoption and case volume within existing accounts

·      Relationship development with surgeons, operating room teams, service line leadership, value analysis committees, supply chain partners, and health system stakeholders

·      Credible technical and procedural support in the operating room , including case coverage and education

·      Development and execution of a thoughtful territory business plan in partnership with regional leadership

·      A documented record of territory growth , quota achievement, account development, or competitive conversion

·      The ability to develop and manage a sales plan while maintaining accountability for results

·      Experience navigating clinical, economic, and administrative decision-making processes

·      Success selling in competitive orthopedic medical device markets

·      The ability to identify opportunities , earn access, build relationships , and develop a sustainable pipeline

·      Clinical confidence and the ability to support surgeons and operating room teams effectively

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

·      Five or more years of successful orthopedic medical device sales experience in hospital, operating room, and/or ambulatory surgery center settings

·      Demonstrated record of quota attainment, territory growth, new business development , or competitive conversion

·      Experience working with surgeons, clinical teams , value analysis committees, supply chain partners, and health system stakeholders

·      Ability to lift instrument and implant sets of approximately 20 pounds and work within surgical environments

·      Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel, and participate in an applicable call rotation

·      Ability to successfully complete Smith+Nephew's credentialing requirements for healthcare facility access

Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $100,000-150,000 USD annually. This role is commission eligible, and compensation may vary based on the assigned territory.

The actual compensation offered will be based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge and skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for sales commissions and incentives based on established targets . The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, and geographic location.

Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
