Staff Accountant Opportunity In Raleigh

Our growing client is seeking a Staff Accountant that will thrive in a team setting by working effectively and efficiently with coworkers across all departments as the business grows quickly. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities: Assist in driving all processes and functions within the Accounting Department. Compile and analyze financial information daily, weekly, and monthly and ensure the information has been recorded accurately. Complete all account reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis, including journal entries and revenue reconciliations by channel and source and record necessary accrual entries. Create and analyze monthly financial statements including consolidated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, related footnotes, and management reports (gross margin, markdowns and returns analysis, inventory reports, reconciliations of COGS, etc.) Improve systems and processes continually, become an expert and internal resource in NetSuite (ERP system), and document all financial processes. Work on Account Payables and Receivables and year-end reporting and working with auditors.

Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required 1-2 years' public accounting experience preferred. Naturally curious to understand and help grow the business, not simply report numbers. Process-oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong accounting aptitude. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus). Highly skilled in Excel, Word, and Access.
