More About Our Team The Behavioral Health unit is a 24 bed unit. What sets us apart from other units is the teamwork with all of us having the same goal: provide safe, quality, and compassionate care close to home! How You'll Contribute A Registered Nurse who excels in this role: Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assess learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate's degree in nursing required. Additional Requirements Include Bachelor's degree preferred American Heart Association Basic Life Support Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
