Forensic Services on the campus of the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center has an exciting new opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician! While working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical services you will also be responsible for the following:

• Preparing medications and supplies for the Forensic Mental Health Program, the Forensic Nursing Home and the Community Behavioral Health Hospitals under the supervision of a pharmacist.

• Unit dosing medications.

• Stocking and maintaining Automated Dispensing Machines (ADM) per pharmacy procedures

• Reviewing medication reconciliation reports and entering medication data into the electronic health record while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Providing support for nursing through phone, email, and Teams communication Reviewing reports for expired medications

• Filing monthly dispensing reports.

• Completing monthly medication room checks

Minimum Qualifications

Applicant must meet the following:

• Applicants must have a valid driver's license

• Registered with the Board of Pharmacy

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician certification educational program, OR at least one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess current national certification as pharmacy technician

• Ability to operate a unit dosing machine

• Experience using an Omnicell and/or a carousel

• Experience working with multiple software programs including Microsoft Excel

Physical Requirements
