About This Role

Position Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and reflective Toddler Teacher to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate values play as the foundation for learning, sees each child as capable and curious, and fosters social-emotional development through meaningful interactions and responsive care.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

• Create a warm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where children feel respected, supported, and empowered.
• Plan and implement child-led, play-based experiences that promote exploration, problem-solving, creativity, and independence.
• Support the whole child by integrating social-emotional learning into daily routines and play.
• Observe, document, and reflect on children’s development to inform curriculum planning and family communication.
• Collaborate with co-teachers to design engaging, responsive learning experiences that follow children’s interests.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families through open communication and partnership.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to NAEYC/TRS 4-Star accreditation standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or working toward one) is preferred.
• Experience working with toddlers in an early childhood or play-based setting.
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, social-emotional learning, and child-led education.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and reflective teaching practices.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
