Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for an evening shift travel contract in California, requiring recent Epic experience and a minimum of 3 years of OR specialty experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a 254-bed facility
• Operating Room (Surgery) unit
• Evening shift schedule: 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
• 4x10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week
• Epic EMR used; recent experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Current ACLS (American Heart Association) required
• Current PALS (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 3 years of OR specialty experience required
• Recent experience in the OR specialty within the last 3 months required
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
• Active, unrestricted RN license with no prior license hits
• BSN preferred
• Two supervisory references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years

Additional Information

• Delivers coordinated nursing care according to established standards, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and outcome evaluation
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care delivery
• Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care and delegates duties to appropriate healthcare team members
• No radius rule applies; local candidates are welcome as rates are the same as travel rates
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer — requests exceeding 5 days will result in automatic decline
• Candidates may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
