Required Skills & Experience
• \tActive RN license in the state of Texas, or compact RN\n•\t1+ year of Infusion experience\n•\t3+ years’ experience as a RN\n•\tOutpatient RN experience is a must\n•\tBLS or ACLS\n•\tOncology experience preferred

Job Description

An oncology clinic is seeking a seasoned Infusion RN to join their team. This person will be responsible for:\n•\tPlanning, implementing, coordinating, evaluating and promoting the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. \n•\tAssessing patient/family needs and providing teaching and other instructional material.\n•\tPreparing and administering therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.\n•\tAdministering all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique. \n•\tAssuring pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.\n•\tFacilitating dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management \n•\tPerforming venipuncture, accessing implanted ports and maintaining central lines catheter devices.\n•\tMaintaining accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.\n•\tApplying knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
