• Bonus: Up to $20,000.00 (For Full-Time, 7 On/7 Off, and Weekend Only positions)

  • Full-Time Days, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
  • Full-Time Weekend Nights, 2 12-Hour Shifts, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

4 South is a 30-bed medical and surgical stepdown unit at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham that ca res for a wide range of patients and offers a dynamic environment for learning and developing your nursing skills . It's an ideal unit for nurses who are not ready for the intensity of an ICU but are seeking to advance their skills. We foster skill development and clinical expertise in a supportive, teaching-focused setting.

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND Required professional licensure at time of hire.
