Demonstrates skills needed to perform as a proficient certified surgical technologist. Responsibilities :
- Independently scrub ophthalmic surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
- Anticipate surgeon needs and prepare instruments and supplies.
- Maintain patient safety through accurate counts, medication safety, and sharp safety.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and service specialists to optimize surgical workflows.
- Serve as a mentor and preceptor for other surgical technologists.
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (or military equivalent)
- Colorado DORA Surgical Technologist Registration
- Current CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
