Job Summary

Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical Floor Johnstown, PA. This position provides care for adult patients with trauma, orthopedic, urological, colorectal, and surgical conditions in a fast-paced inpatient setting. The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks and requires a rapid start within two weeks.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; ability to manage a patient ratio of up to 7:1; experience with electronic health records, telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitors, cardiac drips, and trauma care; willingness to complete dysrhythmia and medication dosage examinations before assignment to the unit; ability to work with adult, trauma, orthopedic, urological, colorectal, and surgical patient populations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for postoperative patients; flexible, friendly, and collaborative approach.
• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekend scheduling includes four weekend shifts within a four-week schedule, with an expectation of working at least two weekends.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role supports postoperative and medically complex patients across a 44-bed unit with typical patient ratios of 6:1 and ratios of up to 7:1. No call is required. Orientation is held weekly on Mondays, and professional clinical attire is required.
