Location St.Louis Children’s Hospital, One Children’s Place, St.Louis, MO 63110 Additional Information About the Role Weekend rotation The Behavioral Assessment Response Team (BART) at St.Louis Children’s Hospital assists in providing care for patients with complex behavioral health needs. The team floats throughout the hospital to provide education on escalation prevention, review and update behavioral plans, establish relationships, respond to CPI events, and more. Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engage in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintain a constant state of alertness; ensure safe work practices in this safety‑sensitive position.
