About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have Med-Surg or acute care experience. Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 30 Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census supports, 2 PCTs, 1 HUC, and 1-3 sitters. Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census is full, 2 PCTs, and 1-3 sitters depending on patient population. Patient Ratios: 6:1 Type of Equipment: Hoyer lifts, Sara steady, bladder scanners. EMR: Meditech Floating Requirement: Per the needs of the facility. Typical Hiring Profile: Most recruited for: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters. Candidates without the specified skills will not be considered. Preferred Skills: Candidates with additional Med-Surg or acute care experience and previous experience in similar settings will be prioritized. Typical Procedures Performed: Post-surgical procedures including cholecystectomy and cystoscopy with stent placement. Pain management. Management of CIWA patients. Best Personality Fit: Fast-paced and outgoing individuals with high energy are preferred. Additional Information: The unit utilizes new equipment and technology. There are various schedule options available. The tenure and experience of staff members contribute to a supportive work environment.
