ROLE SNAPSHOT Pay: $97,000 to $120,000 annually Location/Schedule: Remote, Full-Time Purpose: Own the performance, reliability, security, and recoverability of a high-traffic PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server cloud environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own production performance across PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. Diagnose and resolve execution plan, indexing, locking, blocking, and query performance issues. Design and operate high availability, replication, failover, and disaster recovery strategies. Lead zero-downtime schema changes and production database migrations. Execute large-scale data migrations and backfills using safe, verifiable processes. Maintain secure database access, encryption, auditing, and governance practices. Build monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning processes. Support reporting, analytics, and warehouse performance. Continuously improve database reliability, safety, and operational excellence. MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years administering production databases. Expert Microsoft SQL Server administration. Advanced SQL, T-SQL, and PL/pgSQL. Deep experience with execution plan analysis and performance tuning. Strong HA/DR, replication, backup, and recovery expertise. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ERP or data warehouse experience. High-volume transactional platforms. BI and warehouse modeling. Infrastructure-as-code. Redis or distributed caching. Event-driven architectures.
