Responsibilities

Provides assistance to genetic counselors and staff to support genetic counseling within the clinic. Performs duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree and/or minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology specifically working with cancer patients
2. Strong communication skills with diverse populations
3. High degree of independence flexibility initiative and commitment
4. Demonstrated awareness and value of cultural competence
5. Strong organizational problem-solving and follow-through skills

Preferred:

1. Working knowledge of medical terminology
2. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and Power Point software programs
3. Knowledge of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Accreditation Standards
