Smock, PA 15480

Pay: $24-29/HR

Shift: M-F, 8AM to 5PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of hazardous waste management, chemical safety, and environmental operations.
• Understanding of environmental, transportation, and workplace safety regulations.
• Experience with chemical waste handling, laboratory packing, waste profiling, or material management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with waste collection programs, chemical segregation practices, and accumulation area management.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely in environments involving chemicals and industrial materials.
• HAZWOPER 40-Hour certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with required endorsements within six months of employment.
• Ability to wear respiratory protection and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Dependable attendance and commitment to working onsite during scheduled hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct routine inspections of hazardous waste storage and accumulation areas to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Support environmental, transportation, and workplace safety compliance initiatives through adherence to regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Coordinate the collection, segregation, packaging, and preparation of hazardous waste for transportation and disposal.
• Assist with chemical identification, waste characterization, and compatibility assessments to ensure safe handling and storage practices.
• Consolidate chemical materials from laboratory, production, and storage areas while maintaining compliance with established protocols.
• Verify the accuracy of waste container labeling, marking, and associated documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels of safety equipment, labels, shipping materials, and other compliance-related supplies.
• Track waste generation, storage, and disposal activities to maintain regulatory compliance and accurate records.
• Support inventory control and maintain organized, safe waste management and storage areas.
• Follow standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and customer-specific requirements in daily operations.
• Maintain detailed and organized records related to hazardous waste management activities.
• Contribute to special projects and operational initiatives as needed.
