Clinical Registered Dietitian Position -Part-Time(80% Remote)

Overview: RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our team. This role allows flexibility and a balanced blend of in-person and remote work, ensuring our patients receive the best care while our team enjoys a work-life harmony.

Hours: 8hrs per week

Flexibility: Choose your days and hours. Only 1 onsite visit required per month, remaining hours are completed remotely via telehealth.


Compensation: $30.00-$38.00 per hour, based on experience

Travel Reimbursement: Paid at the same hourly rate for time traveling to and from the facility

Mileage Reimbursement : Paid at $0.5/mile

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensivenutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk,adhering to facility policies and procedures
• Develop, implement andmonitor individualized and evidence-based nutrition care plans forpatients with complex medical conditions
• Offer nutrition education andcounseling to patients and families regarding acute disease management,discharge planning, and prevention of readmission.
• Proactively collaborate andcommunicate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists,speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other members of theinterdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes and facilitatetimely discharge.
• Ensurecompliance with all hospital policies,regulatory standards (e.g., TJC, CMS), and best practice guidelines foracute care nutrition.
• Maintain t horough and timely electronicmedical record documentation in a fast-paced environment, reflectingmedical necessity and intervention effectiveness.
• Routinely monitor patientsfor acute changes in weight, labs, fluid status, and clinical condition,adjusting nutrition interventions promptly.
• Actively participate inquality improvement initiatives, clinical rounds etc to enhance nutritioncare services and overall patient safety within the acute care setting.
• Serve as a nutrition expertand resource for hospital staff, contributing to staff education anddevelopment.
• Perform other tasks asassigned and within scope of practice as needed

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degreein Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commissionon Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
• Current statelicensure/certification (if mandated by the state).
• Minimum of 2-3 years ofrecent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting (required).
• Demonstrated experiencemanaging patients with diverse, complex medical conditions.
• Proficiency in enteral andparenteral nutrition support.
• Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families,and high-performing healthcare teams in high-pressure situations.
• Possesses superior criticalthinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to assess rapidlychanging objectives, develop, and implement effective, time-sensitiveplans.
• Strong familiarity with acutecare workflows, electronic health records (EHR), and regulatory standardsrelevant to hospital accreditation.
• Ability to work autonomouslyand prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
