Seamstress(Seamster)

Provides tailoring, sewing, mending and fabrication services for patient clothing. Design, cut and fabricate articles of clothing, draperies, linen and other textile for special articles necessary for the efficient operation of the agency. Receive, issue, delivery, cleaning, sorting, marking, storing, displaying, physical inventory control, computer entries, and keeping of related records of clothing and supplies.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.

Two years of experience or training in sewing which included; design and alteration of patterns and mending, patching and repairing garments and linens.

Special Qualifications

Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license.

• This announcement is for a full-time, permanent, SEIU represented, Seamstress position (Classification: Seamster) based in Salem, Oregon.

• Employment is contingent upon a criminal records check and a driving records check that meets OHA criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment.
• The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range. If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by 6.95%. For more information, see the Classification and Compensation page.
