Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP, supporting patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Delivers comprehensive pre- and post-procedure assessments and interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessment and monitoring of patients across all stages of care, from pre-procedure to recovery.
• Deliver competent clinical care, including direct patient interventions and support during cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation of nursing actions, patient responses, and educational activities.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies, improving clinical skills, and upholding patient safety standards.
• Promote patient satisfaction through courteous, responsive communication with patients and families while ensuring confidentiality.
• Follow safety protocols, identifying patients with two identifiers and utilizing universal precautions during transfers and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and current BLS certification; ACLS certification required.
• Require at least 2 years of critical care experience, preferably within a cardiovascular or perioperative setting.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrate competence in assessing patients, managing emergency equipment, and understanding cardiovascular conditions.
