Banquet & Events Manager — Guest Experience Leader

Education Level4 Year Degree## DescriptionWater's Edge Resort and Spa is accepting applications for our Banquet Manager position. The Banquet Manager oversees the daily execution of all banquet functions including set-up, A/V, food and beverage presentation, serving and cleaning up all while delivering outstanding guest service.This position reports to the Director of Food and Beverage.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Oversee the set up and breakdown of function rooms.* Monitor and enhance team member performance, provide supervision, create schedules, and conduct evaluations.* Recruit, interview and train team members.* Communicate function specifications with appropriate department managers.* Greet and work with clients to ensure all expectations are met.* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.## Qualifications* Three years of previous banquet management experience required.* Knowledge of food and beverage operations.* Excellent communication and guest relation skills in English.* Positive attitude and leadership skills.* Excellent computer skills.* Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results.* Serve Safe Manager Certificate Required.* Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays.* Able to stand and walk for long periods of time* Able to perform moderately strenuous activities including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30lbs.* Has reliable transportationWater's Edge Resort and Spa offers Full Time staff the following benefits:* Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance* Group Life Insurance* Paid Time Off* 401(K) Program* Employee Meals* Employee Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr Water's Edge Resort & Spa
