Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: June 10, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage required. Patient ratio 5-6:1. Floating to like units required as needed.

Highlights:

• 84-day travel assignment on a general medical surgical unit caring for adults and geriatric patients
• Stable telemetry-monitored patients without cardiac drips
• 31-room unit with 24-patient daily census and interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Comprehensive orientation with Epic charting system experience preferred
• Flexible scheduling with 36 or 48-hour weekly options

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel experience required
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Skills required include IV management, blood product administration, central line/PICC line care, wound care/wound vac, insulin administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, feeding tube care, and isolation precautions
