First (Days) Overview: Sentara Cardiology is seeking to hire an individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant! Position Location: Charlottesville, VA Position Status: Flex / 10-hours a week Overview The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED
CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or
CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or
RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or
EMT- Emergency Medical Technician
One year of clinical/administrative experience REQUIRED
Phlebotomy experience preferred
