Interim HR Generalist

The Interim HR Generalist will provide support across a variety of HR functions, ensuring continuity in daily operations during a period of increased workload. This role will focus on employee support, onboarding, benefits coordination, leave tracking, and general HR administration. The consultant will also assist with light recruiting and payroll support as needed, partnering closely with internal HR leadership to maintain efficient and consistent processes. Worksite Location: Onsite – Rochester, MN Salary Range: Hourly rate between $40-$50, DOE Benefits: Versique benefits include medical, dental, vision, accident/critical illness insurance, MN ESST, MN PFML, and a 401(k) with company match. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide day to day HR support across employee lifecycle activities Respond to employee questions related to benefits, policies, and general HR inquiries Track and manage leave of absence cases and related documentation Support onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and I?9 compliance Assist with light candidate screening and coordination with hiring managers Support payroll processing activities, including variable or commission components Partner with HR leadership to maintain smooth HR operations Assist with administrative HR tasks and process improvements as needed Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance across HR documentation Required Skills & Experience: Proven HR Generalist experience with broad, end to end HR knowledge Experience supporting benefits, onboarding, and employee relations Familiarity with leave of absence tracking and HR compliance Exposure to payroll processes, ideally including variable or commission elements Ability to work independently and support a small HR function Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service mindset Experience in privately held or fast growing organizations is a plus Versique is an equal-opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
