This is a local, in-town position responsible for safely moving trailers, supporting daily yard operations, assisting in the warehouse, and ensuring equipment is positioned efficiently to support our transportation team. If you take pride in safe operations, attention to detail, and working as part of a team, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do
- Safely perform in-town trailer moves between company facilities and customer locations.
- Conduct yard hostling operations, including positioning and organizing trailers.
- Operate tractor-trailers with single and double trailer configurations.
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move freight and materials.
- Assist with warehouse operations and daily warehouse activities as needed.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Assist with routine inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Perform minor vehicle and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Supervisor.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating Class A CDL vehicles.
- Experience operating straight trucks, tractor-trailers, and doubles is required.
- Previous hostler or yard driver experience preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Endorsement required.
- No intrastate-only, automatic transmission, or air brake restrictions.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Meets all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) driver qualifications.
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to become certified).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and fitness-for-duty examination.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
