Job Description HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Washington, District of Columbia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 9 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, evenings, nights, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Position: ICU RN (Intensive Care Unit RN) Location: Washington, DC (George Washington University Hospital) Contract Length: 13 Weeks (06/15/2026 – 09/12/2026) Shift: Nights, 3x12s (36 hrs/week, AM/PM rotation) Required Experience /t - Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience /t - Experience in a multidisciplinary ICU (neuro, trauma, cardiac, surgical, etc.) /t - Strong experience with high-acuity, critically ill patients /t - Experience with Cerner EMR required Education /t - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program /t - BSN – Highly preferred Certifications & Licensure /t - Active Washington, DC RN License /t - AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) /t - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) /t - NIHSS (Stroke Certification) – Required Additional Requirements /t - Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility /t - Ability to work rotating shifts (AM/PM) /t - Strong critical thinking and communication skills /t - Comfortable in high-acuity, fast-paced ICU environment Role Responsibilities /t - Provide care for critically ill patients across multiple specialties (neuro, cardiac, trauma, pulmonary, surgical) /t - Operate and manage advanced ICU equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and cardiac monitors /t - Assist with and monitor patients on advanced therapies (IABP, ECMO, Impella, CRRT) /t - Perform continuous patient assessment and implement care plans /t - Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products /t - Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams /t - Support and educate patients' families HonorVet Technologies Job ID #32358069.
