Cafeteria Worker

Prepares food and beverages to be sold in school cafeteria snack bar by performing the following duties; prepares food and beverages ensuring good quality and quantity, operates snack bar cash register, assists in serving and clean up, fills in wherever needed each day, ensures cleanliness of unit, ensures food items are kept safe, using servsafe methods, communicates with facility assistant to ensure equipment is working properly, communicates with Director or Manager over unit.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience previous cafeteria experience a plus, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be accuracy and detail orientated.

Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands; the employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Terms of Employment Salary based on Grade B of the approved Food Services Salary schedule as established by the Governing Board. 10 month position Full Benefits as assigned for the position.
