DescriptionJob Summary:Kaiser Permanente Northwest - Oregon and SW Washington, is seeking a Doctorally prepared, advanced practice provider, Nursing Scientist at the rank of Research Investigator II (equivalent to Associate Professor). Salary support for the position is fully-funded and is not reliant on extramural grant funding. The position will have a joint appointment with solid reporting to Nursing and Patient Care Services to the Regional Director of Nursing Professional Practice, Research, and Innovation, reporting to the Regional Chief Nurse Executive, Systems & Strategy and dotted reporting to the Center for Health Research to the VP for Health Research.  This exciting new role is a unique opportunity for a well-qualified and experienced nursing scientist who has a demonstrated track record of securing extramural research funding, leading studies as a principal investigator, and publishing research findings. The role will be responsible for an independent portfolio of internally and extramurally-funded research as principal investigator and will support KPNW’s future Magnet designation efforts across all care delivery settings supporting (2 Hospitals, Ambulatory, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Care Continuum, Regional Advice Nurse Services, and Dentistry). There is a total of 3 Magnet applications, which require 2 completed research studies and 1 in-process, for each application (ongoing). The role is also responsible for leading the regions' clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice, and creation and providing education regarding research, clinical inquiry, and evidence-based practice locally and partnership with National Kaiser Permanente.
