Responsibilities Provide front office support duties including greeting and welcoming patients, delivering excellent customer service in-person and over the phone, collecting co-payments, scheduling appointments, updating missing patient demographics, obtaining referrals and pre-certifications, and other clerical duties as assigned. Prepare patients and equipment for exams. Maintain exam rooms and the clinical area. Return phone messages to patients, pharmacies, and others as needed. Schedule and obtain authorizations for referrals and/or procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality. Support and function under the direction of the care team with various office and clinical duties to keep the healthcare practice running efficiently, including patient intake at office visits, exceptional patient care, documentation, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Comply with HIPAA and company policy by managing sensitive and confidential matters such as patient information and protecting the security of information, data, and files. #J-18808-Ljbffr
