Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Deliver respiratory therapy to patients across ICU, ED, and other units
• Manage ventilators and provide care for patients from newborns to seniors
• Floating to Medical/Surgical, ED, and Birthing Center as needed
• Adjust schedule to meet unit and patient care needs, including weekends and holidays
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation using Epic

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligible to take NBRC exam
• Vermont state licensure as a respiratory care practitioner
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in respiratory therapy
• NICU and pediatrics experience is preferred
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
