CoWorx Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a Manufacturing Company located in Bristol, CT. Direct hire opportunity: Monday – Friday @ 6am-2pm. This position reports directly to the Production Manager for all production related issues and to the QC Manager for all quality related issues. This position has implied authority to make decisions relative to how best to organize the maintenance work efficiently and coordinate maintenance scheduling to minimize impact on production.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, service and periodic overhauls on the machinery and equipment.
• Maintain and regularly update knowledge level in order to assemble, reassemble maintain and repair all necessary production equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment to determine reasons for any mechanical, electrical or system failures.
• Maintain the required tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to perform job assignments.
• Prepare all required forms for work performed and all required payroll information on a timely and accurate basis.
• Maintain maintenance logs on all production and production support equipment.
• Maintain flexibility of work hours in order to perform preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance during non-production hours.
• Train other members of the production staff to assist in the maintenance and support of production and support equipment.
• Deal with appropriate sub-contractors and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Develop and manage an effective liaison with the German tooling and production departments.
• Design and implement a fully operational maintenance and repair tool shop as approved by Production Manager.
• Ensure that all aspects of all maintenance performed on the premise conform to OSHA and WC regulations. Ensure that all general building conditions meet these same regulations.
• Supervise and/or perform regular maintenance on all building mechanical systems and document work in a maintenance log.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Computer knowledge within Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ability to work independently and multi task effectively
• Proficiency in using basic business software and computer literacy
