Outpatient Physical Therapist - Certified Lymphedema Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-month contract position.

Schedule

5x8.0 schedule with 8-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician directions. This role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring effective functional treatment programs that promote a return to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while adhering to the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in student programs by providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
• Maintain professional licensure and meet continuing education requirements.
• Understand and participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active State licensure as required for the practice area.
