Description Summary Huntington’s internship programs provide emerging talent with meaningful, hands‑on experience aligned to their area of study. Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. Internship Opportunities at Huntington: Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments. Rising juniors (Winter 2028 or Spring 2029 grads) may participate in Huntington's Foundations Program, an 8‑week, regionally focused experience where students partner directly with a manager and team, contribute to meaningful projects, build professional skills, and explore career opportunities across Huntington and the financial services industry. Rising seniors (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Enterprise Internship Program, an 11‑week, role‑aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands‑on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full‑time opportunities. All interns participate in a variety of developmental and professional activities designed to support learning and exposure to the organization. Depending on your school year, program components may include: Experience in day‑to‑day responsibilities related to their assigned team Exposure to broader business functions A structured schedule of professional development sessions Opportunities to engage with members of the Executive Leadership Team Discussions with senior leaders regarding career paths and Huntington’s business areas A team project focused on applying Huntington’s innovation framework to a business‑relevant problem Participation in volunteer activities and internal events aligned with Huntington’s culture Risk and Credit Internship Overview Within the Risk & Credit organization, interns gain exposure to how financial institutions identify, assess, monitor, and manage risk across the business. Students partner with risk professionals on meaningful projects involving data analysis, reporting, process improvement, and risk evaluation while developing an understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks. Interns collaborate with team members to support business initiatives, analyze trends, and help identify potential risks and opportunities. This role provides hands‑on experience in critical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making within a dynamic and highly regulated environment. Basic Qualifications High School graduate Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice® applications Preferred Qualifications Course(s) of study applicable to the area of business Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel A strong interest in Banking as a career Preferred Skills & Interests Risk Management, compliance, audit, finance, data analytics, or financial services. Relevant Majors Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Data Analytics, MIS. Relevant Coursework Risk Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, Compliance and Regulatory Studies.
