Production Supervisor

$50 Billion foods manufacturer is hiring for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor. This job is open due to promotion. Are you interested in career growth? Are you former military or in the reserves? Job Description Supervise, lead, manage and mentor a team of highly skilled employees Direct management of 30-50 employees Supervise plant production line workers with an emphasis on teamwork, safety and excellent practices to produce the highest quality products Utilize lean and six-sigma principles to implement continuous improvement methodologies to increase production Ensure quality product is being produced at the standard rate while minimizing scrap anddown time. Analyze production runs and make suggestions for improvement Manage, evaluate and train staffbycoaching, conduction performance appraisals, administering corrective action, training and development by on-the-job programs and appropriateoffthe job programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required; ideally in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or similar Military veteran or in the reserves with excellent leadership skills is preferred 2-4 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Must haveunderstandingof how to work in afast paced, challenging, stressful environment Excellent communication skills, a natural leader and able to work in a team environment that utilizes multi-tasking skills Prefer experience with Six-Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr Riveter Recruiting
