CT Scan Technologist-Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center-Per Diem
Atlantic Health
Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. Principal Accountabilities:
- Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
- Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
- Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
- Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
