GIS Technician

Bolton & Menk is looking to add a GIS Technician to our Burnsville team. What You Will Be Doing:

• Responsible for entering data accurately and managing data.
• Responsible for the generation of maps and project deliverables.
• Understands and is able to manipulate large, complex GIS data sets.
• Provides GIS software related support to staff and clients as needed.
• Assist with the set up and use of GIS software and GPS equipment as directed.
• Responsible for accurate collection of field data.

What We Are Looking For:

• Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Experience with Geoprocessing within the ArcGIS environment
• Ability to work within a team atmosphere
• Must possess a valid driver's license. Regional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of GIS as it relates to Local Government, Public Works, and Civil Engineering
• Knowledge of developing automation within the ArcGIS environment using scripting languages such as Python
• Ability to communicate and promote geospatial solutions amongst others
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D CAD software
• Knowledge of mapping-grade GPS devices
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents

Salary Range: $51,300 - $72,360 depending on years of experience and credentials
