Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - Observation Cohort - F/T Nights

About This Role The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: North Bergen, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Night shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a patient-centered plan of care with specific goals/outcomes. Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies. Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes. Adhere to established protocols and document patient care accurately. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress preferred. Experience: 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New Jersey required by date of hire. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire. National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
