Physical Therapist Assistant

Role: Physical Therapist Assistant responsible for providing treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being within the established plan of care. Key Duties Follow all state laws governing home care physical therapy, perform procedures within qualifications, and recommend plan modifications to the supervising PT. Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team, coordinating care as needed. Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on therapy techniques within scope. Qualifications & Skills Current licensure, registration, or certification in physical therapy assistance for the practicing state. Current CPR certification. Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, or access to public transit. Ability to work effectively in diverse home settings and assist with physical tasks like lifting and transferring. Availability for weekend rotations.
