Senior IT Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Systems Analyst to analyze business requirements, evaluate existing information systems, identify process improvement opportunities, and develop technical specifications for system enhancements and new solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive IT industry experience, strong proficiency in Azure DevOps, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with management, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 14+ years of professional IT experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Bachelor's degree.
• Strong experience in systems analysis, business requirements gathering, and technical documentation.
• Ability to analyze business processes, identify problems, and recommend effective technical solutions.
• Experience evaluating existing information systems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications, technical reports, process documentation, charts, diagrams, and flowcharts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business objectives, user requirements, operational procedures, and system-related problems.
• Identify alternative solutions and conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
• Evaluate existing information systems and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and performance.
• Prepare detailed functional requirements, technical specifications, and system documentation.
• Assess system capabilities, technical limitations, and scheduling constraints.
• Support the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and modification of computer applications.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution of application-related problems.
• Collaborate with business users, technical teams, management, and other stakeholders.
• Develop technical reports, process flows, diagrams, and instructional documentation.
• Provide technical support and recommendations related to system implementation, interfaces, security, and ongoing maintenance.

Work Location Requirements

• Hybrid position based in Lansing, Michigan.
• Candidates must reside within 90 miles of Lansing, Michigan, at the time of submission.
• Onsite work is mandatory from the first day.
• Candidates must be available to work onsite every Wednesday and Thursday.
• The onsite schedule is fixed and non-negotiable.

Interview Requirements

• One virtual interview via Microsoft Teams.
• Video participation is required.
• Candidates should join using a laptop and be prepared to share their screen if requested.

• Contract assignment is ongoing, with a projected duration through September 30, 2027, subject to business needs.
