Multi-Craft Maintenance TechnicianThis role supports a high-volume food manufacturing facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing both electrical and mechanical systems. The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician works with PLCs, three-phase motors, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and conveyor systems to keep production running safely and efficiently in a demanding, hands-on environment.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment in a food manufacturing facility.Perform PLC troubleshooting on Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems to identify faults and restore equipment to proper operation.Work safely with 480V electrical systems, including sensors, switches, and related control components.Inspect, maintain, and repair three-phase motors, bearings, and related drive components.Service and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including cylinders, valves, lines, and associated controls.Support, adjust, and repair conveyor systems to minimize downtime and ensure smooth product flow.Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers to verify component dimensions and tolerances during maintenance and repair work.Perform routine and corrective maintenance on boilers and associated support equipment, as needed.Work with industrial robots (including Kuka robots) and related sensors to support automated processes.Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support reliability and continuous improvement.Collaborate closely with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and quickly resolve equipment issues.Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working with high-voltage equipment, moving machinery, and hot environments.Essential Skills38 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills, including troubleshooting and repair.Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting on Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.Ability to work safely with 480V electrical systems, including sensors and switches.Proficiency in working with three-phase motors and related components.Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.Ability to maintain and repair conveyor systems in a production setting.Proficiency in using micrometers and other precision measuring tools.Experience working with industrial robots, such as Kuka robots, and associated sensors.Boiler maintenance or troubleshooting experience.Comfort working with bearings and rotating equipment components.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in food or other high-throughput manufacturing environments.Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings.Strong communication skills to coordinate with production and maintenance teams.Interest in growing into leadership roles as experience increases.Willingness to work extended hours and overtime as production needs require.Why Work Here?You join a facility that invests in your growth through a tiered pay structure tied to your skills and experience, offering clear pathways to increase your earnings over time. You work directly on production equipment and machinery, frequently around three-phase motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, boilers, conveyors, and industrial robots. The role requires wearing non-slip resistant shoes and appropriate work attire suitable for a hot, industrial setting. The schedule runs from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with overtime available on Saturdays as needed.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
