Essential Functions Manages the organization's security function and develops security programs, policies, and processes. Develops, designates, and implements safety and security protocols for assigned facilities. Managing the coordination and administration of security clearances. Oversee and ensures processes are in place for preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and evicting trespassers. Serves as point of contact for escalated safety/security concerns and may respond to situations as needed. May coordinate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary. Strategically and proactively assesses risks to ensure a safe and secure working environment to staff and visitors. Leads the investigation of crimes with leadership support. Provides direction and guidance related to safety and crime prevention to employees and visitors. Advises on specialized security needs or risks for limited and restricted access areas. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree in security, National Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field Knowledge, skills & abilities: Emergency Management. Investigations. Physical Security. Security Management. Security Risk Management. Strategy Development. Law Enforcement Liaison. Resource Allocation. Conflict De-Escalation. Security Clearance: Active US government issued SECRET level security clearance or the ability to obtain. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. May need to stand for long periods of time. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. This position is Safety-Sensitive.
