Sr Accountant

Senior Accountant Reports to: Controller | on-site Statesville NC | must live in the area Salary $100,000 - $150,000 We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join our client in Statesville, NC. This role will support general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The position plays a key role in handling complex transactions involving Fixed Assets, Inventory, AR/AP, and more--ensuring compliance with GAAP. Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is needed. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries; support monthly and quarterly close. Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations. Lead or assist with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions. Act as a subject matter expert for financial inquiries and transaction issues. Support inventory reconciliations and assist with audits and compliance tasks. Recommend and implement process improvements; document key procedures. Provide backup coverage across accounting functions as needed. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or construction. Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience with complex transactions and reconciliations. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Acumatica a plus). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team environment.
