Pediatric Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Pediatric Respiratory Unit experience worked in the last 3 years.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >80 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: AMN Program - ECU Health (Vidant Health) and no current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - ECU Health (Vidant Health).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 3 years experience in a level 3 or 4 NICU/PICU. Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Special Requests: No local clinicians - 80 mile radius; can screen if 50-80 miles. Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned Relias exams that must be taken immediately (within 48hrs). If you fail the exam twice, this may result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.

Unit Details: Supports patients on ECMO in the PICU.

Shift & Scheduling: Orientations are on Mondays only. Candidates need to be flexible with schedules. Every other weekend; facility uses patterns for positions. One call shift in 6 weeks. Must arrive at the facility within 30 minutes of receiving call. The minimum call-back period is two (2) hours.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 10/31/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
