Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for staging and de-staging materials, ensuring the accuracy of chemicals or raw consumables, and staging materials received directly from vendors. You will communicate effectively with multiple department heads, production, and warehouse staff while operating a forklift to move materials and pallets. You will also be tasked with conducting inventory analysis, coordinating regular cycle counts, and participating in annual full physical inventory counts. Your role will include generating appropriate paperwork, matching pick tickets with orders, maintaining safety and quality standards, and keeping the work area clean and orderly.

Responsibilities

Work Environment

Work in a chemical manufacturing plant environment that is not climate controlled. Shifts are 12 hours long, ensuring at least 48 hours of work per week, with opportunities for overtime. The dress code requires safety shoes, a provided FR uniform, and 100% cotton clothing under the uniform. Training includes a 4-8 week period and an 8-hour safety course.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
