Must-Have: 1:3 patient ratio experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management, non-titrated cardiac drip management experience, telemetry and monitoring experience

Description: This role requires experience in a step-down unit with a focus on telemetry. The nurse will be responsible for managing non-titrated cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Milrinone, Lasix, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Dobutamine. Experience with insulin administration at a 3:1 ratio is preferred but not required. Candidates must hold current certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIH. Meditech experience is preferred, although first-time travelers with step-down experience are welcomed. Weekend shifts will be required, with a minimum of two weekends per month. The nurse will float within areas of competency, including med/surg, telemetry, and observation units. Experience in accessing and managing ports, central line care, and PICC line management is necessary. The role involves care for ventilated patients and managing chest tubes. Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care is required. The nurse will engage with rapid response teams and contribute to patient stabilization. Assessment and management of dysrhythmias is a critical aspect of the position. Familiarity with administering high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management is needed. Candidates must demonstrate competence in post-MI care and renal failure management. Tracheostomy care and management experience is essential. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support services.
