Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shift

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide critical care for our pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing complex postoperative care and acute medical conditions, making a significant impact on patient outcomes in our state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill children within the PICU.
• Monitor patient vitals and implement appropriate interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Administer medication per protocols and document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Provide emotional support and education to families during difficult times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in PICU specialty.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS and PALS certifications (AHA only) are required.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
