Your reassuring presence will foster a positive atmosphere which enables the highest level of Ambassador performance and guest service. You will:Provide emergency medical care and first aid to guests and AmbassadorsPrepare and assist with transfers of patients to transporting EMS unitsAct as a first responder to medical emergencies in the parkInspect vehicles, supplies and equipment to ensure compliance with state requirementsComplete documentation related to emergency/first aid careOperate vehicles for emergency responses and transportationsEnsure compliance with safety procedures and guidelinesInitiate accident investigations for work-related and ride-related incidentsPerform daily opening and/or closing duties of the First Aid station as well as daily checks on safety and rescue equipmentPerform miscellaneous functions as required, including but not limited to, general maintenance, organization, and appearance of the First Aid station, restocking of supplies, cleaning treatment areas, and contacting proper support units as neededUphold the highest standards of safety for yourself, Ambassadors, and guestsParticipate in training and drillsConsistently demonstrate courteous and professional behaviorWhat it takes to succeed:A passion for customer serviceExcellent multi-tasking and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsActive listener with the ability to anticipate guests' needsFlexibility to perform varied dutiesTheme parks experience preferredWhat else is important:Must be at least 18 years of ageCurrent Pennsylvania EMT Certification requiredOne (1) to two (2) years actively affiliated with a pre-hospital 911 ambulance service and/or hospital ER tech experienceProvide a reference list of current pre-hospital emergency service providers or EMT/ER employers to verify active statusCurrent American Heart Association/ American Red Cross CPR and AED certificationAbility to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbsPosition engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shiftPerform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicalsWillingness to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standardsAbility to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat and coldProvide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreementConsistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situationsAbility to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelinesThe perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as:FREE park admissionDiscounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friendsPark discounts on food, merchandise, etc.Scholarship opportunitiesExclusive employee events and giveawaysEEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
