Industrial Sales Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an Industrial Sales Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional with experience in industrial pumps, pumping systems, fluid handling equipment, or related mechanical products.

The Industrial Sales Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping identify needs, recommend engineered solutions, and support projects from initial consultation through post-sale execution. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage consultative sales opportunities for industrial pumps, pumping systems, fluid handling equipment, and related mechanical solutions.
- Meet with customers to understand technical requirements, system needs, operating conditions, and project goals.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution-based sales discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Recommend customized engineering solutions based on customer applications, performance requirements, and project scope.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, installation, supply chain, and other internal teams to support successful project execution.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships while identifying opportunities for business growth and post-sale support.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial sales, technical sales, applications support, or a related engineering services role.
- Experience selling or supporting industrial pumps, pumping systems, fluid handling equipment, or similar mechanical products.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand system design, customer specifications, and application requirements.
- Ability to translate customer needs into practical, value-driven technical solutions.
- Project management experience supporting coordination across multiple departments or project stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
- Comfortable serving as a technical advisor throughout the full sales cycle, from initial discovery through project execution and post-sale support.
